स्वामी विवेकानंद के अनमोल विचार
1 : Arise, awake
and stop not till the goal is reached.
उठो, जागो
और तब तक नहीं रुको जब तक लक्ष्य ना प्राप्त हो जाये.
2 : Come up, O
lions, and shake off the delusion that you are sheep; you are souls immortal,
spirits free, blest and eternal; ye are not matter, ye are not bodies; matter
is your servant, not you the servant of matter.
उठो
मेरे शेरो, इस भ्रम को
मिटा दो कि तुम निर्बल हो , तुम एक अमर
आत्मा हो, स्वच्छंद जीव
हो, धन्य
हो, सनातन
हो , तुम
तत्व नहीं हो , ना ही शरीर हो, तत्व
तुम्हारा सेवक है तुम तत्व के सेवक नहीं हो.
3 : All the
powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before
our eyes and cry that it is dark.
ब्रह्माण्ड
कि सारी शक्तियां पहले से हमारी हैं. वो हमीं हैं जो अपनी आँखों पर हाँथ रख लेते
हैं और फिर रोते हैं कि कितना अन्धकार है!
4 : As different
streams having different sources all mingle their waters in the sea, so
different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead
to God.
जिस
तरह से विभिन्न स्रोतों से उत्पन्न धाराएँ अपना जल समुद्र में मिला देती हैं ,उसी
प्रकार मनुष्य द्वारा चुना हर मार्ग, चाहे
अच्छा हो या बुरा भगवान तक जाता है.
5 : Condemn
none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your
hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way.
किसी
की निंदा ना करें. अगर आप मदद के लिए हाथ बढ़ा सकते हैं, तो
ज़रुर बढाएं.अगर नहीं बढ़ा सकते, तो अपने हाथ
जोड़िये, अपने
भाइयों को आशीर्वाद दीजिये, और उन्हें
उनके मार्ग पे जाने दीजिये.
6 : Never think
there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think
so. If there is sin, this is the only sin; to say that you are weak, or others
are weak.
कभी
मत सोचिये कि आत्मा के लिए कुछ असंभव है. ऐसा सोचना सबसे बड़ा विधर्म है.अगर कोई पाप
है, तो
वो यही है; ये कहना कि
तुम निर्बल हो या अन्य निर्बल हैं.
7 : If money
help a man to do good to others, it is of some value; but if not, it is simply
a mass of evil, and the sooner it is got rid of, the better.
अगर
धन दूसरों की भलाई करने में मदद करे, तो
इसका कुछ मूल्य है, अन्यथा, ये
सिर्फ बुराई का एक ढेर है, और इससे जितना
जल्दी छुटकारा मिल जाये उतना बेहतर है.
8 : In one word,
this ideal is that you are divine.
एक
शब्द में, यह आदर्श है
कि तुम परमात्मा हो.
9 : That man has
reached immortality who is disturbed by nothing material.
उस
व्यक्ति ने अमरत्त्व प्राप्त कर लिया है, जो
किसी सांसारिक वस्तु से व्याकुल नहीं होता.
10 : We are what
our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are
secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.
हम
वो हैं जो हमें हमारी सोच ने बनाया है, इसलिए
इस बात का धयान रखिये कि आप क्या सोचते हैं. शब्द गौण हैं. विचार रहते हैं, वे
दूर तक यात्रा करते हैं.
11 : You cannot
believe in God until you believe in yourself.
जब
तक आप खुद पे विश्वास नहीं करते तब तक आप भागवान पे विश्वास नहीं कर सकते.
12 : Truth can be
stated in a thousand different ways, yet each one can be true.
सत्य
को हज़ार तरीकों से बताया जा सकता है, फिर
भी हर एक सत्य ही होगा.
13 : The world is
the great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong.
विश्व
एक व्यायामशाला है जहाँ हम खुद को मजबूत बनाने के लिए आते हैं.
14 : All
differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is
the secret of everything.
इस
दुनिया में सभी भेद-भाव किसी स्तर के हैं, ना
कि प्रकार के, क्योंकि एकता
ही सभी चीजों का रहस्य है.
15 : The more we
come out and do good to others, the more our hearts will be purified, and God
will be in them.
हम
जितना ज्यादा बाहर जायें और दूसरों का भला करें, हमारा
ह्रदय उतना ही शुद्ध होगा , और परमात्मा
उसमे बसेंगे.
16 : External nature is only
internal nature writ large.
बाहरी स्वभाव केवल अंदरूनी स्वभाव का बड़ा रूप है .
17 : GOD is to be worshipped as
the one beloved, dearer than everything in this and next life.
भगवान् की एक परम प्रिय के रूप में पूजा की जानी चाहिए
, इस
या अगले जीवन की सभी चीजों से बढ़कर .
18 : If faith in ourselves had
been more extensively taught and practiced, I am sure a very large portion of
the evils and miseries that we have would have vanished.
यदि स्वयं में विश्वास करना और अधिक विस्तार से
पढाया और अभ्यास कराया गया होता , तो मुझे यकीन है
कि बुराइयों और दुःख का एक बहुत बड़ा हिस्सा गायब हो गया होता .
19: Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle
to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the
ideal as near as possible to the Truth.
हमारा कर्तव्य है कि हम हर किसी को उसका उच्चतम
आदर्श जीवन जीने के संघर्ष में प्रोत्साहन करें ; और
साथ ही साथ उस आदर्श को सत्य के जितना निकट हो सके लाने का प्रयास करें .
20: Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life
–think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves,
every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea
alone. This is the way to success.
एक
विचार लो . उस विचार को अपना
जीवन बना लो - उसके बारे में सोचो उसके सपने देखो , उस
विचार को जियो . अपने मस्तिष्क
, मांसपेशियों
, नसों
, शरीर
के हर हिस्से को उस विचार में डूब जाने दो , और
बाकी सभी विचार को किनारे रख दो . यही सफल होने का तरीका है.
21 : The moment I have realized
God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence
before every human being and see God in him – that moment I am free from
bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.
जिस
क्षण मैंने यह जान लिया कि भगवान हर एक मानव शरीर रुपी मंदिर में विराजमान हैं , जिस
क्षण मैं हर व्यक्ति के सामने श्रद्धा से खड़ा हो गया और उसके भीतर भगवान को देखने
लगा - उसी क्षण मैं बन्धनों से मुक्त हूँ , हर
वो चीज जो बांधती है नष्ट हो गयी , और
मैं स्वतंत्र हूँ .
22 : The Vedanta recognizes no
sin it only recognizes error. And the greatest error, says the Vedanta is to
say that you are weak, that you are a sinner, a miserable creature, and that
you have no power and you cannot do this and that.
वेदान्त कोई पाप नहीं जानता , वो
केवल त्रुटी जानता है . और वेदान्त कहता है कि सबसे बड़ी त्रुटी यह कहना है कि तुम
कमजोर हो , तुम पापी हो , एक
तुच्छ प्राणी हो , और तुम्हारे पास
कोई शक्ति नहीं है और तुम ये वो नहीं कर सकते .
23 : When an idea exclusively
occupies the mind, it is transformed into an actual physical or mental state.
जब कोई विचार अनन्य रूप से मस्तिष्क पर अधिकार कर
लेता है तब वह वास्तविक भौतिक या मानसिक अवस्था में परिवर्तित हो जाता है .
24 : Where can we go to find
God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in every living being.
भला हम भगवान को खोजने कहाँ जा सकते हैं अगर उसे
अपने ह्रदय और हर एक जीवित प्राणी में नहीं देख सकते .
25 : You have to grow from the
inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other
teacher but your own soul.
तुम्हे अन्दर से बाहर की तरफ विकसित होना है .
कोई तुम्हे पढ़ा नहीं सकता , कोई तुम्हे आध्यात्मिक
नहीं बना सकता .तुम्हारी आत्मा के आलावा कोई और गुरु नहीं है .
26 : You will be nearer to
heaven through football than through the study of the Gita.
तुम फ़ुटबाल के जरिये स्वर्ग के ज्यादा निकट होगे
बजाये गीता का अध्ययन करने के .
27 : In a conflict between the
heart and the brain, follow your heart.
दिल और दिमाग के टकराव में दिल की सुनो .
28 : In a day, when you don’t
come across any problems –you can be sure that you are travelling in a wrong
path.
किसी दिन , जब
आपके सामने कोई समस्या ना आये – आप सुनिश्चित हो
सकते हैं कि आप गलत मार्ग पर चल रहे हैं .
29: Dare to be free, dare to go as far as your thought
leads, and dare to carry that out in your life.
स्वतंत्र होने का साहस करो . जहाँ तक तुम्हारे विचार
जाते हैं वहां तक जाने का साहस करो , और
उन्हें अपने जीवन में उतारने का साहस करो .
30: Be not Afraid of anything. You will do Marvelous
work. it is Fearlessness that brings Heaven even in a moment.
किसी चीज से डरो मत . तुम अद्भुत काम करोगे .
यह निर्भयता ही है जो क्षण भर में परम आनंद लाती है .
31: All love is expansion, all selfishness is
contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who
is selfish is dying. Therefore love for love’s sake, because it is the only law
of life, just as you breathe to live.
प्रेम विस्तार है , स्वार्थ
संकुचन है . इसलिए प्रेम जीवन का सिद्धांत है . वह जो प्रेम करता है जीता है , वह
जो स्वार्थी है मर रहा है . इसलिए प्रेम के लिए प्रेम करो , क्योंकि
जीने का यही एक मात्र सिद्धांत है , वैसे
ही जैसे कि तुम जीने के लिए सांस लेते हो .
32 : The greatest religion is
to be true to your own nature. Have faith in yourselves.
सबसे बड़ा धर्म है अपने स्वभाव के प्रति सच्चे होना
. स्वयं पर विश्वास करो .
33: The great secret of true success, of true
happiness, is this: the man or woman who asks for no return, the perfectly
unselfish person, is the most successful.
सच्ची सफलता और आनंद का सबसे बड़ा रहस्य यह है
: वह पुरुष या स्त्री जो बदले में कुछ नहीं मांगता , पूर्ण
रूप से निस्स्वार्थ व्यक्ति , सबसे सफल है .
34: The fire that warms us can
also consume us; it is not the fault of the fire.
जो अग्नि हमें गर्मी देती है , हमें
नष्ट भी कर सकती है ; यह अग्नि का दोष
नहीं है .
35: They alone live, who live
for others.”
बस वही जीते हैं ,जो
दूसरों के लिए जीते हैं .
36: Strength is Life, Weakness is Death.Expansion is
Life, Contraction is Death.Love is Life, Hatred is Death.
शक्ति जीवन है , निर्बलता
मृत्यु है . विस्तार जीवन है , संकुचन मृत्यु
है . प्रेम जीवन है , द्वेष मृत्यु है
.
37: We reap what we sow. We are the makers of our own
fate.The wind is blowing; those vessels whose sails are unfurled catch it, and
go forward on their way, but those which have their sails furled do not catch
the wind. Is that the fault of the wind?……. We make our own destiny.
हम जो बोते हैं वो काटते हैं . हम स्वयं अपने भाग्य
के विधाता हैं . हवा बह रही है ; वो जहाज जिनके
पाल खुले हैं , इससे टकराते हैं
, और
अपनी दिशा में आगे बढ़ते हैं , पर जिनके पाल बंधे
हैं हवा को नहीं पकड़ पाते . क्या यह हवा की गलती है ?…..हम
खुद अपना भाग्य बनाते हैं .
38: Neither seek nor avoid, take what comes.
ना खोजो ना बचो , जो
आता है ले लो .
39: Anything that makes weak – physically,
intellectually and spiritually, reject it as poison.
शारीरिक , बौद्धिक
और आध्यात्मिक रूप से जो कुछ भी कमजोर बनता है - , उसे
ज़हर की तरह त्याग दो .
40: Do one thing at a Time, and
while doing it put your whole Soul into it to the exclusion of all else.
एक समय में एक काम करो , और
ऐसा करते समय अपनी पूरी आत्मा उसमे डाल दो और बाकी सब कुछ भूल जाओ .
41: Ask nothing; want nothing
in return. Give what you have to give; it will come back to you, but do not
think of that now.
कुछ मत पूछो , बदले
में कुछ मत मांगो . जो देना है वो दो ; वो
तुम तक वापस आएगा , पर उसके बारे में
अभी मत सोचो .
42: Whatever you think that you
will be.If you think yourself weak,weak you will be; if you think yourself
strong,you will be.
जो तुम सोचते हो वो हो जाओगे . यदि तुम खुद को कमजोर
सोचते हो , तुम कमजोर हो जाओगे
; अगर
खुद को ताकतवर सोचते हो , तुम ताकतवर हो
जाओगे .
43: Serve man Serve god.
मनुष्य की सेवा करो . भगवान की सेवा करो .
44: The powers of the mind are like the rays of the
sun when they are concentrated they illumine.
मस्तिष्क की शक्तियां सूर्य की किरणों के समान हैं
. जब वो केन्द्रित होती हैं ; चमक उठती हैं
.
45: Desire, ignorance, and inequality—this is the
trinity of bondage.
आकांक्षा , अज्ञानता
, और
असमानता – यह
बंधन की त्रिमूर्तियां हैं .
46: This attachment of Love to God is indeed one that
does not bind the soul but effectively breaks all its bondages.
यह भगवान से प्रेम का बंधन वास्तव में ऐसा है जो
आत्मा को बांधता नहीं है बल्कि प्रभावी ढंग से उसके सारे बंधन तोड़ देता है .
47: A few heart-whole, sincere, and energetic men and
women can do more in a year than a mob in a century.
कुछ सच्चे , इमानदार
और उर्जावान पुरुष और महिलाएं ; जितना कोई भीड़
एक सदी में कर सकती है उससे अधिक एक वर्ष में कर सकते हैं .
48: Bless people when they revile you. Think how much
good they are doing by helping to stamp out the false ego.
जब लोग तुम्हे गाली दें तो तुम उन्हें आशीर्वाद
दो . सोचो , तुम्हारे झूठे
दंभ को बाहर निकालकर वो तुम्हारी कितनी मदद कर रहे हैं .
49: The greatest sin is to think yourself weak.
खुद को कमजोर समझना सबसे बड़ा पाप है .
50: Blessed are they whose
bodies get destroyed in the service of others.
धन्य हैं वो लोग जिनके शरीर दूसरों की सेवा करने
में नष्ट हो जाते हैं .
51: Shri Ramakrishna used to say, “As Long as I Live,
so long do I learn”. That man or that society which has nothing to learn is
already in the jaws of death.
श्री रामकृष्ण कहा करते थे ,” जब
तक मैं जीवित हूँ , तब तक मैं सीखता
हूँ ”. वह
व्यक्ति या वह समाज जिसके पास सीखने को कुछ नहीं है वह पहले से ही मौत के जबड़े में
है
